| St Mark’s church is located in the North West sector of
Christchurch, New Zealand. It is situated in the suburb of
Avonhead, and is not far from the airport, Canterbury University, and

St Mark's is a church community that is part of the Presbyterian
Church of Aotearoa New Zealand.
It is an open and inclusive church where we celebrate:
- God’s gracious gift of life given to all people
- The light of Jesus to guide our way
- The presence of the Spirit who empowers us with faith, hope, and
love
St Mark’s is a church that:
- values tradition and thoughtful interpretation of the Bible
- has about two hundred worshippers on Sunday
- has significant community outreach projects
- has faith educator, Sandra Wright-Taylor to lead our Children and
Family ministry
- has employed Joce Yearbury to attend to the pastoral needs of
seniors
- celebrates and values a significant Korean component in our church
family
Our worship times are:
- Sundays at 9.30am with Kidzone
- Wednesdays at 11.30am
