Every Wednesday, 11.30-1.00pm, we provide a lunch for seniors in our community.  A team of drivers transports people and others provide food. Following a short service of worship we eat together which is particularly valuable for those who live alone.  People wishing to come can simply turn up or if transport is required contact St Mark’s Office ph 358 5443.
Foodbank
We manage a small foodbank which is distributed by a sister church in Aranui. Donations of food can be left at the church office.
Petersgate
With five other churches in the area we have set up and support a professional counselling service called Petersgate.

27 fulltime and part time counsellors offer professional support especially to those who cannot afford counselling at normal commercial rates. A wonderful group of 28 volunteer-receptionists helps with administrative tasks.

"We respect and look after the needs of everyone regardless of creed, culture or socio-economic background."
St Mark's Overseas Mission Project
We are committed to helping the poor of the world.  Through our sister church in Vanuatu we are supporting a Rural Training Centre at Ebule in Vanuatu.  This centre has 70 students learning practical trades of automotive engineering, carpentry, home science, and electrical engineering in a Christian environment. Currently we have two people from Christchurch on a two year placement establishing an income generating unit at Port Vila selling products made at the centre. There are always opportunities for short term support ministries in Vanuatu.
